I think it's fair to say that today's adventure was the weirdest (in an amusing way??) event that has happened to me at a theater ever. XD
So, once I got home from work today (twelve-ish?) my mum and I decided to go see Beauty and the Beast. Seemed easy enough; Thursday afternoons are normally not that crowded, and with the thunderstorms today, we assumed that it would be even less. We were right on that part--we were the only ones in that particular theater room (which is awesome, by the way). We didn't expect what would end up happening!
So, about fifteen minutes into the movie, the screen shorts out, and everything goes black. A minute or so later, the audio to the movie continues to play, but the actual screen doesn't cooperate. Here lightning struck nearby or something, and ended up messing up all of the movies that were currently being played. The managers (or whoever operates the playing of the films) decided to restart the movie, though, so we were fine with that (me more so than my mum, lol). But OF COURSE, this happened AGAIN about forty-five minutes into the movie; that time they just rewound ten minutes of it.
THEN about three quarters to the end, an alarm goes off saying that there's a fire in the building, and everyone needs to evacuate. Never saw any fire in the end, but the fire department was called, nonetheless. Luckily, though we never did reach the end of the movie, we got free passes to come back whenever we had time. The whole situation was quite entertaining, actually-- I definitely didn't expect it!
Quite a random story to tell just for going to the movies!
On another note: I'm still working on getting out of this saddening amount of inactivity. I've been really busy (and unmotivated) lately, and fighting depression hasn't exactly helped. I will say this, though: I am doing a bit better now, and with the high likelihood of me FINALLY buying an art monitor/tablet next week, I'm hoping to come back soon. Also someone just offered me a horse earlier this week???? What the heck. Not saying I'm accepting the offer, but if I do, my dad will likely kill me. :'D
